Historic Jailhouse Accommodations
The Jailhouse Inn is a converted 1772 jail and police station in downtown Newport. It has 23 rooms with private baths, air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, mini-refrigerators, and USB charging ports. Rooms range from Deluxe (first floor) to Premier (third floor, some with skylights). The Split Room option features two conjoined bedrooms with one bath, ideal for families or friends. The lower-level suite includes a king bed, twin bed, pull-out couch, and white-washed brick archways.
Free Breakfast & Parking
Guests receive a complimentary continental breakfast each morning. Afternoon tea and freshly baked cookies are served in the lobby. The inn provides free parking (one car per room) in a lot behind the building, accessible via Charles Street. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
